When using the TM-2441, I set the AUTO-Slide switch to OFF as I want to “pause” my measurements. Then, I set the AUTO-Slide-switch ON when I was ready to resume my measurements. But it didn’t keep working. Why?
The AUTO-Slide-switch OFF does not work as a pause function. Once setting AUTO-Slide-switch to OFF the device resets and will operate from the Auto Start Time originally selected. (Note: This is only applicable if an Auto Start time and/or Operation time are selected at set up)
For example, if you set ‘Auto Start Time’ to 13:00, the ABPM will start at this time. If at 18:00, the AUTO-Slide-switch is moved to the OFF position because you need to remove the device. E.g. To take a bath. If the AUTO-Slide-switch is returned to the ON position 1 hour later, ABPM will not start operation until 13:00 the following day.
This will also affect the operation time (if one is set). For example, if you set Operation Time to 25:00 hours, then start ABPM at 13:00. At 18:00 AUTO-Slide-switch is moved to OFF because you need to remove device, E.g. to take a bath. If the AUTO-Slide-switch is returned to the ON position 1 hour later, the ABPM operation will finish 19:00 next day and not 14:00 as would have been the original operation period.
During measurement sessions, we do not recommend switching the AUTO-Slide to OFF as it resets the timer rather it should be set to ON until it is returned to the physician.
